I've been wondering this for a while, how many of your consider petplay an actual fetish meaning are you aroused when u do petplay or is petplay something else that is non-sexual for you meaning it is something fun to do or is it some type of lifestyle?
Reminder: What Petplay Is
I have begun to notice that there have some uploads of what I call, "normal" fetish drawing and pictures being added to the gallery. As Co-Admin, I wish to remind you all that we are a Petplay group. Petplay meaning acting/role playing as certain animal, like a dog, cat or pony, and not showing any signs of being human but in a good way. It's not some one just in a collar and leash or chains on all fours, that's more of BDSM play rather than petplay. This isn't to chew anyone out, it is just a reminder what Petplay is, because sometimes we forget or we tend to overstretch differences of certain fetishes.

Wanna say Happy New Year to all the petplayers of this group! Hope 2012 was good to the pets of this group and if not well 2013 is a brand new year for all of us, let us make the best of it. It's too far out to ever be real. Trying to actually make it a lifestyle would seem too contrived to me. I think it's mostly sexual...but...if an owner I found attractive sexually had me in a pet role for a long time and had no reciprocal sexual interest I would probably be capable of being trained to be obedient without a sexual overtone and with more time simply to be concerned with pleasing her.
My guess is that with long time, full immersion my mind could be guided to where a determined owner wished it to be. The sexual excitement could be re-channeled to a general excitement at obeying her. There are some excellent hypnotic suggestions recorded at esuccubus.com that deal with this. Imagining these being used in an immersive pup role by an owner I can definitely see them having a mental/emotional effect. If immersion also included friends and their bio pets it's hard to not become anxious thinking of the possibilities on the leash of an owner with a mind to have a dog.
